Friend, I Miss You

Working on some new photography ideas. We'll see if I stick with the white backdrop, it's just so hard to get to balance out to a good white and keep the colors of the project true to form. I do prefer it in general, I just hate working with it in Lightroom. Another card today, this one is for the My Favorite Things color challenge, it ends in a few hours so I figured I had better throw another in the ring while  I could. This card employs several things: Simon Says Stamp's Big Friend die, The Stamp Market's Scalloped Frame die, Altenew's Dainty Swiss Dot stamp set and Altenew's Just for You stamp set. I hope you like it.

Good friends are hard to come by,

Happy Birthday VW Style, Take Two

And here's number two... I think I like this one a little better. Colors work for me.

I used several stamp sets to make this little beauty:

Magical You by Mommy Lhey, Enjoy the Ride by Papertrey Ink., Dainty Swiss Dot by Altenew and In a Word: Happy by Winnie and Walter.

I'm adding this to the mix over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Travel or Vacation themed challenge.

Here's to happy birthdays,
Alicia

Happy Birthday VW Style

This is the first of two identical card, just with a slight variation on color. I had so much fun making it that I decided to make two! I thought it was pretty cute too. :) I used several stamp sets to make this little beauty:

Magical You by Mommy Lhey, Enjoy the Ride by Papertrey Ink., Dainty Swiss Dot by Altenew and In a Word: Happy by Winnie and Walter.

Enjoy the Little Things

I've been itching to use this new stamp set with these darling little potted plants. So much fun to stamp. I've added a new embossing folder from Park Lane called Brick. The greeting is from Altenew's Fancy Frames. Copics were used to color in the pots, but stamp pads were used to create the plants. Something funny... I used three different SU! greens to stamp these plants: Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive and Lucky Lime. They all look nearly identical, crazy. This card was designed with the sketch from My Favorite Things weekly challenge in mind.

What's your favorite little thing?

You Matter

Isn't this the most darling little stamp set from Concord and 9th? It's called You Matter, and as a matter of fact they are closing it out so grab it while you can. I did notice that it is a new product at Joann's, so you may be able to get it there. The polka dot background is a standard go-to for me, it's an oldie but goodie from Stampin' Up! called Polka Dot. Again I used my trusty old Scan n' Cut to cut out the bits and pieces. Off this card goes to the stockpile of ready to go goodness. :)

You really do matter,
Alicia

Hello

I've had this stamp set in my arsenal for quite a while, as a matter of fact long enough that it's now retired. This is the first time I've used Stampin' Up's Jar of love. I don't have a link for it but I'll include a picture of it below so you can see all the cuteness that comes in it. My favorite part is that tiny little goldfish... I framed it with My Favorite Things Square Peek-a-Boo Die. I used my same old trick of making my own colored cardstock by stamping some white with the blue I needed. The stamp set I used is called Rustic Linen by Altenew.

Hello fishy, fishy,
Alicia

I'm Here for You

A quick card using The Ton's stamp set called Wave. Super monochromatic with smokey blue and navy keep it simple. I didn't have any of the coordinating navy cardstock so I took a background stamp to the lighter blue cardstock to finish it off and pretend I had some. I do that quite often. When I don't have the coordinating cardstock I'll makeup my own-ish with stamp and ink. It's a good trick.

Hang ten,
Alicia
