Guest Designer at the Color Throwdown, #533

We make card after card and just hope for a little recognition for all of our hard work, well at least I do. lol. I have struggles with my creativity for the past four years. To be honest, I haven't been creative at all for personal reasons. Some serious struggles in my life. I finally decided to bite the bullet and dive right in a couple of weeks ago. The easiest way I have found to get your mojo back is to participate in challenges. So I went straight to one of my favorites, The Color Throwdown. I am most attracted to color when it comes to creating, so this challenge is a fantastic place to start.

This weeks colors at described as gray, purple, lavender and kraft. I often times struggle with combinations of four colors, but this time I actually had quite a bit of fun. Purples aren't my favorite, but therein lies the challenge, right? ---- Be sure to scroll all the way down for a second bonus card!

I chose a stamp set that I am completely enamored with right now. It's called Love You by Tracey Hey. Another set I used is from Concord and 9th, Little Love Tags

My card is a mix of clean, cute and graphic. Challenging myself to combine my style of clean and graphic with such things as this little water color looking bear is what I am attracted to right now. I mixed all four colors in the the grouping of hearts and did the same with the bear with ink pads, a darker color purple marker and a water brush, I do like the end result. The little enamel dots are a DIY project of mine, here's a link to the blog post with instructions.

When I was asked to make a card, I couldn't help myself and I made two, here's the second.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you participate in the next challenge!
Alicia
