Let Your Faith Be Bigger Than Your Fear - Hummingbird

Another card using the Fusion and The Paper Players challenge this week - bright blue, light blue and apple green. I thought the hummingbird would be a perfect image for this saying. My idea is that they are so tiny and fragile but willing to head out into the world and get things done. I constantly have to keep working on my faith overcoming my fear, all-the-time.

The background colors worked well as an ombre, but I would have liked to have a little more contrast between the bird and the background. When I placed the hummingbird on to the background I realized it was disappearing. The best think I could think of was to outline it with a fine tip marker. I believe this gave it a sense of movement too. Not perfect, but a reasonable remedy.

Stamp sets used are Gina K. Design's Have Faith and Pretty Pink Posh's Hummingbird Thanks. Colors used are Brilliant Blue and Bashful Blue from Stampin' Up! and Pear from Close to My Heart. All that tedious cutting is done with my ever-faithful Scan n' Cut.

Faith is powerful,
Alicia
