The background colors worked well as an ombre, but I would have liked to have a little more contrast between the bird and the background. When I placed the hummingbird on to the background I realized it was disappearing. The best think I could think of was to outline it with a fine tip marker. I believe this gave it a sense of movement too. Not perfect, but a reasonable remedy.
Stamp sets used are Gina K. Design's Have Faith and Pretty Pink Posh's Hummingbird Thanks. Colors used are Brilliant Blue and Bashful Blue from Stampin' Up! and Pear from Close to My Heart. All that tedious cutting is done with my ever-faithful Scan n' Cut.
