Etsy or Not to Esty, Is it Even a Question?

The big Etsy question. All crafters ask themselves it. Am I good enough to sell there? Can I make money. Will people actually buy my stuff? How much work will it really be? Well I have sold on Etsy before, nothing as low priced as cards, but I have some experience. I'd say only do it if you are ready to be on pins and needles and most likely fall upon them sooner or later. But if you are game for some roulette, play on. I think I might play for a while. Since I am on a kick of making cards every day they are literally coming out of my ears. So why not. I know how to do it, how to research what to say. Perhaps I'll invest in a little advertising. My sister is quite successful on Etsy, so I'll ask her about timing of placing product for sale and such. Just a shot in the dark, but why not. I have the time. On the verge of empty nesting, and I've pretty much given up on cleaning my house. lol.

So here's the first card I've made specifically to sell, I will be putting up tons of cards that I have made already. I haven't decided how many of them will go up at first, I'll have to decide on a
budget.

I love this greeting, I've used it a few times. It comes from a stamp set called Starry Flowers from Altenew. The die cut image was made with a die from Stampin' Up! called Windowbox Thinlets, just one part - the hexagon portion. I die cut that from white card stock, then placed the metal piece onto the rose card stock and traced around it with an exacto knife. Next I layered them to create a clean and perfect fit.

Here's to putting your money where your mouth is,
Alicia
