The Color Throwdown Guest Designer, Week 3

Working it for The Color Throwdown again this week. Pastels and I don't alway's get along but I had a ball with this week's colors. Using two of Altenew's stamp sets fit the bill. Peony Bouquet and their Hexagon Pattern Play were able to take on all four colors like a champ. I especially love how the light blue and purple layer. I love all of Altnew's flowers they are so stinkin' fun to work with. Take a chance and play along with the color palette this week.

Three candles for the My Favorite Things Birthday Project challenge. I've just had some time on my hands, so I thought why not, let's make another. And I can always use another birthday card in my arsenal.

Another throw at the My Favorite Things Birthday Project challenge. This time I pulled out an old stamp set from back in 2008. Birthday Numbers by My Cute Stamps. They are long out of business now. Actually the owner and artist was a personal friend of mine so I have a lovely collection of stamps from her company. The theme for this months Birthday Project is candles, or rather "make a wish".

A simple card for the My Favorite Things Birthday Project challenge. The stamp set is from My Creative Time called Make a Wish. The challenge called for using birthday candles, so this stamp set was the obvious choice for me this morning. The twist on this one is coordinating the word below the candle with the color of the candle. I think it turned out cute.
